Publications 1936-1959; 1941-1948.

This series comprises printed material produced by the Evangelical Lutheran Church's Lutheran Daughters of the Reformation (LDR) from 1936-1959 with the bulk of the records from 1941-1948. The materials in this series were generated through the course of LDR's efforts at Bible study and education, promotion of various mission projects, training of LDR leaders, preparation of study material for the Lutheran Children of the Reformation groups, and printing of materials for LDR general conventions. All items were published by the LDR with the exception of one Bible study guide published by the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod's Concordia Publishing House. This collection does not contain a representative sampling of all material produced by the LDR. These records are a wide variety of items that were made available to LDR members and by no means are complete. There are several examples of the study programs used by the LDR, skits and plays created for use as educational and promotional tools, and pamphlets containing basic organizational information about the LDR. Information pertaining to the seventh and eight biennial conventions of the LDR is also included. In addition to these materials, there is also a general leader's manual as well as manuals for circuit presidents. There is also a 30th Anniversary Booklet from the South Dakota District LDR. Items are arranged by subject. Duplicates were removed. The majority of records pertaining to the LDR are at the ELCA Region 3 Archives, located at Luther Seminary, St. Paul, Minnesota.
